When should I arrive?
You can arrive as early as 8:30 am to sign your child in with their leader. After our opening events end at 9:20, for the security of all our kids, we only allow background checked volunteers on the campus.
What time does the program end?
The program will end at 12:15 pm each day. Parents can enter the campus after 12:05 pm to view the closing events. If you must pick up your child before 12:15 pm we ask that you pick them up by 11:15 am. Due to our last rotations, closing events and the large amount of kids we host we cannot dismiss kids between 11:15 am-12:15 pm. Please pick your child up no later than 12:30 pm.
How do I choose what group to sign my child up in?
Seven to nine small groups are offered for each age. Each small group is age appropriate and will have 3 leaders and 15-27 children. You can choose a group based on which group your child’s friends have signed up for or choose a group at random. All small groups for each age will visit rotations together.
What if I want to change what group my child is in?
Please register your child for the new group that you would like and send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org saying that you would like to change your child’s group with your child’s name, the original group, and new group so that we can open the space for another child.
What can I expect when I arrive on the first day?
You will be welcomed with a lively, energetic, positive atmosphere! You can find your child’s group in our Adventure Island area, where you’ll meet their leader and leave them to join us in music, games, and an action packed morning!
Where do I park?
For ACA in Redlands: The main parking lot for ACA on Orange Ave, the parking lot for RCS Middle School on Tennessee St, Redlands Adventist Academy across from ACA or along the road on either of those streets.
For Starlight in Beaumont: The main parking lot and along the street in front of and beside the school.
What if my child has allergies?
If your child has any food allergies, please send a snack with them daily. That will ensure they have a snack that fits their nutritional needs. Please let us know of all allergies when you sign your child up for their group.
What things will my child be doing during the day?
The daily schedule consists of a time of music and six different 20-minute rotations including hands-on activities, snack time, special performances, Bible stories, and various water activities and games.
Who can pick up my child?
You or someone who you authorize beforehand on the child registration form. Each group will have a list of authorized guardians for each child with them at all times.
What about my child’s personal belongings?
Your child will not need to bring anything with them, as all water, snacks, and supplies will be provided. We are not responsible for any of your child’s personal belongings. They will be getting wet throughout the day, therefore, we do not advise bringing any valuable items.
Does my child need to bring money?
They will not need money, other than for donations towards a charity that will be announced at Summer Blast.
What if my child gets sick during the program?
Two registered nurses will be on site at all times, and should the need arise, you will be contacted immediately.
What should my child wear?
Your child should wear comfortable clothes that they can get wet in, their Summer Blast shirt (which will be provided during registration), and shoes that they can remove and put on easily by themselves.
What if I need to pick my child up early?
Unless you are contacted by the nurse, children can only be picked up early until 11:15 am. After 11:15 am, you must wait to pick up your child until the program ends at 12:15 pm.
What if I made a mistake on my child’s registration?
Please send an email with your child’s name and group with the desired changes to email@example.com.
